How we protect our wooden furniture
To help your rustic wooden outdoor furniture stand tough against our kiwi climate we use our 'Clear' or 'Rustic Brown' finish. For this, we fully coat the timber with our quality outdoor furniture oil. We can also supply your outdoor furniture 'Natural' (bare timber) for you to colour to your liking.
Be aware that direct sunlight, humidity changes, and fluctuating temperatures will all affect timber. Cracks, bowing, splits, and colour changes can occur in the natural weathering process.
For our indoor wooden furniture, we use a variety of protective coatings, depending on the use and environment. Whether it's shellac, oil, or our own furniture wax containing nz made raw beeswax, we choose the right product for the timber used.

Warranty
Every piece of furniture is backed by a one year warranty, safeguarding the structural soundness of our hand-crafted items.
It's important to note that exposure to direct sunlight, changes in humidity, and varying temperatures can impact timber furniture. The natural weathering process can lead to effects like cracks, bowing, splits, and colour alterations; however, these weathering effects are NOT included in the warranty coverage.
Instances where the warranty does not apply include:
- Change of preference after purchase
- Misuse, inadequate care, or alteration of the product that caused the issue
- Damage, loss, or disposal of the product after delivery
- Prior knowledge of a fault before the purchase (e.g., purchasing a 'seconds' item)
- Delayed reporting of a problem beyond a reasonable time
- Problems beyond our control, such as natural disasters or accidents caused by unrelated parties
- Placement of the product on soil, grass,, consistently wet surfaces or environments the item is not suited for (i.e. indoor furniture used outdoors).
In cases where we need to inspect the furniture at your location to determine the cause of the issue, and if the cause is not covered under our warranty, a call-out fee will be applied. It's important to note that the warranty does not encompass the expenses related to transportation or freight for the claim; it solely covers the repair cost.
